Easel started as an AI app builder.

As we worked on making software easier to create, we kept running into a different problem: hosting it.

Building an application was getting easier, but deploying it reliably, securely, and affordably was still complicated. And when you're responsible for hosting thousands of applications, those challenges multiply.

We needed infrastructure that could handle applications of all sizes without requiring dedicated servers, complex configuration, or unpredictable costs.

So we started building it ourselves.

Eventually, we realized that the infrastructure we'd built could solve a much bigger problem than the one we originally set out to address.

That became Easel.

Modern deployment platforms have made shipping software dramatically easier. But that convenience often comes with rising costs, restrictive environments, and layers of infrastructure that developers have little control over.

We don't think those tradeoffs should be necessary.

Easel is built around a simple idea: developers should get the convenience of a managed platform without sacrificing performance, flexibility, or affordability.

Rather than simply reselling another cloud provider's services, we're building our own deployment infrastructure, designed from the ground up to run applications efficiently.

That means fewer unnecessary layers, more control over how applications run, and better economics that we can pass along to our customers.

Our goal isn't to give developers another collection of infrastructure tools to learn. It's to make infrastructure something they rarely have to think about.

We believe the next generation of software will look very different from the last.

As AI makes software creation more accessible, individuals will build applications for problems that were never worth solving with custom software before. Developers will ship more projects, more frequently. Platforms will enable millions of people to create and publish their own applications.

All of that software needs somewhere to live.

We think the infrastructure supporting this shift needs to be fundamentally more efficient, accessible, and economical.

Whether you're deploying one application or a million, it shouldn't require a different approach to infrastructure.

That's the future we're building toward.
