Product Designer
DesignRemoteFull-time
About Easel
Easel is a globally distributed PaaS with Vercel/Netlify-style developer experience, without hyperscaler lock-in or vendor games. Developer experience is the product. Design is not a polish pass at the end.
About the role
You'll own product design across the dashboard, CLI-adjacent flows, and key marketing pages. High bar for clarity, density, and the small details that make infrastructure tools feel trustworthy.
What you'll do
- Design and iterate on core product flows: projects, deploys, domains, billing, and security
- Partner with engineering in Figma and in the codebase; we ship, not just hand off specs
- Maintain and extend the design system as the product grows
- Improve marketing and docs surfaces where brand and product meet
- Run lightweight research with users and turn insights into concrete UI improvements
You might thrive if you
- You've designed developer tools, dashboards, or complex B2B SaaS products
- Strong visual craft and information hierarchy, comfortable with dense technical UIs
- You prototype in Figma and can speak fluently with engineers about implementation tradeoffs
- Bonus: front-end fluency (React, Tailwind) or experience with design systems at early-stage startups
What we offer
- Competitive salary and meaningful early-stage equity
- End-to-end ownership, with no layers between you and what ships
- Remote-first with deep work protected
- Hard, interesting problems: deployment status, logs, edge config, and usage-based billing
