Support Engineer

About Easel
Easel is a globally distributed PaaS with Vercel/Netlify-style developer experience, without hyperscaler lock-in or vendor games. Early customers talk to real humans who understand deploys. This role keeps that promise as we scale.
About the role
You'll be the first line of support for teams on Easel: debugging deploy issues, answering product questions, and making sure friction becomes product improvement, not recurring pain.
What you'll do
- Respond to customer inquiries via email and chat with clear, technical answers
- Reproduce and triage bugs, then escalate to engineering with useful context
- Identify docs gaps and either fix them or flag them for the team
- Track common issues and suggest product or UX improvements
- Help onboard design partners and early customers through their first production deploy
You might thrive if you
- You've supported developers at a hosting, CI/CD, or dev tools company
- Comfortable reading logs, DNS records, and deployment configs to diagnose issues
- Patient communicator who can explain technical steps without condescension
- Bonus: experience with edge platforms, Docker, or usage-based billing
What we offer
- Competitive salary and early-stage equity
- Direct line to engineering; your tickets actually change the product
- Remote-first with flexible coverage hours
- Ground-floor impact on how we treat customers as we grow
