Custom observability queries

You can run custom metrics queries from Observability to slice edge and function traffic beyond the default chart set, using a Vercel-style query model.

Beyond the defaults

Default charts cover common traffic and function views. Custom queries let you pick metrics, filters, and groupings when you need a sharper cut: one path, one status class, or one function.

Save a query you reuse during incidents, or run ad hoc slices while you investigate a spike. Results render in the same Observability surface as the built-in charts.

Where to run them

Open project Observability, switch to the query or custom metrics view, and compose the series you need. Start from a default chart’s time range so comparisons stay aligned.

Use queries when the request explorer shows a pattern and you want an aggregate view over a longer window. Pair with logs for the individual requests behind a series.
