Edge TLS, compression, and CDN cache tiers

Sean DubbFounder, Easel.sh

Easel CDN terminates HTTPS with automatic certificates, compresses eligible responses with Brotli or gzip, and serves from tiered edge cache so repeat visitors hit closer to the edge.

Simplified request path at the edge.

TLS and certificates

Every easel.sh hostname and connected custom domain gets HTTPS without manual certificate uploads. Certificates issue and renew at the edge so you don’t run a separate ACME client for platform hosts.

Custom domains follow the same encryption path once DNS points at Easel. See CDN encryption and Domains.

Compression and cache tiers

Eligible responses compress with Brotli or gzip based on Accept-Encoding and content type. That shrinks HTML, CSS, JS, and other compressible payloads on the wire. Details live in CDN compression.

Tiered edge cache keeps popular objects in regional tiers so more requests miss origin. Cache behavior and headers are covered in CDN caching and CDN headers. Start from the CDN overview for the full edge model.
