Faster builds, monorepo skip, and cancel deploy

Sean DubbFounder, Easel.sh

You can choose Standard or Enhanced build machines, skip unaffected monorepo projects, and cancel a running deploy from the dashboard when a push is already obsolete.

Build Machine selector open, showing Standard and Enhanced tiers with Enhanced selected

Pick Standard or Enhanced build machines for project deploys

Build machines and warmer sandboxes

Pick Enhanced when compiles need more CPU and memory; stay on Standard for lighter apps. Easel also bakes common dependencies into warmer sandboxes so installs start ahead of a cold image pull.

Change the machine size in project build settings. The next deploy uses the new size; in-flight builds keep the size they started with.

Monorepo skip and cancel

When only some packages change, Easel can skip builds for unaffected monorepo projects. That cuts queue time on large repos where most packages stay untouched.

Cancel a running deploy

  1. Open the project Deployments list.
  2. Find the deploy that is still building.
  3. Choose Cancel deploy.
  4. Confirm, then push or promote the build you actually want.

Cancel when a newer commit supersedes an old build, or when you triggered the wrong branch by mistake.
