React Router and TanStack Start guides
You can now follow dedicated guides to deploy React Router and TanStack Start apps on Easel. The React Router guide replaces the Remix guide, since React Router 7 is where Remix’s full-stack features now live.
React Router
Easel deploys React Router 7 and 8 in Framework Mode. Add the @vercel/react-router preset to react-router.config.ts, and Easel detects the project and runs react-router build.
Prerendered pages and browser assets go to the CDN. Server rendering, streaming, loaders, actions, resource routes, and server middleware run in Easel Functions. SPA mode works too. The guide also covers upgrading from React Router 7 to 8.
TanStack Start
TanStack Start deploys through the Nitro Vite plugin. Add nitro() after tanstackStart() in vite.config.ts and leave the Nitro preset unset, since Easel picks the output it needs.
Full-document and streaming SSR, server functions, server routes, middleware, selective SSR, and SPA mode are supported. Static prerendering works with setup, and ISR is experimental.
Rebuilt framework guides
Every guide now follows the same layout:
- At a glance: supported versions, rendering modes, and required setup
- What Easel deploys: which output goes to the CDN and which runs in Functions
- Supported features: a table of what works, with notes and limits
Each framework with a guide, including Next.js, Nuxt, SvelteKit, and Vite, has a sample app that Easel deploys and checks as part of platform testing.
See the React Router guide, the TanStack Start guide, or all framework guides.
