Runtime Cache usage and workspace storage quota in Observability

You can use platform Runtime Cache from your app, track usage in project Observability, and stay within workspace plan storage limits.

Using Runtime Cache

Call the platform Runtime Cache APIs from your functions to store short-lived values close to compute. Use it for computed fragments, session-adjacent data, or rate-limit counters that don’t belong in your primary database.

Entries follow platform TTLs and eviction. Treat the cache as best-effort speed, not durable storage.

Quotas and Observability

Workspace plans include a Runtime Cache storage quota. Observability shows how much you use so you can trim keys or upgrade before you hit the ceiling.

If writes fail because of quota, free space or raise the plan entitlement, then retry. Keep keys namespaced per project so one app doesn’t crowd out another in the same workspace.
